What is an adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is contact to a vertebrae, by either hand or an instrument as to align the bone and disc to take pressure off the spinal joints, spinal cord and nerves. This will help restore normal alignment and function to the spinal joints and allow proper nerve supply and blood flow for a healthier body. An optimum functioning spine and nervous system equals optimum health.


How does an adjustment feel and how long will it take?

Adjustments to the spine are usually painless. Patients come to us in pain, so many times for them to even move is uncomfortable. Patients report that the first adjustment provides relief in 50% of the patients. However, in other cases this may take more time. Length of time for relief and or correction depends on the type of case.


Is Chiropractic safe?

Can I adjust myself?

NO! Even chiropractors need chiropractors to adjust them. The worst spines are those of people who manipulate their own spines. An adjustment moves a specific bone in a specific direction with lots of training.
